WWW Wednesday – September 4, 2019

I can’t believe it’s already freaking September, fam! Can the year stop moving so quickly? Well, maybe not. Also, I’m trying to do some of my posts as early as I can because we also may get hit by Hurricane Dorian later on this week. I’ll definitely keep you guys updated when I can, but please pray for those that have already been affected by Dorian, and those that are in his path. Hurricanes are no joke.

Thanks as always to Sam @ Taking on a World of Words for hosting this meme. You guys know the drill by now.

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you will read next?

Oh wow, look at that? I actually am making progress on an ARC that has nothing to do with a Blog Tour. Yay! And I’m actually really liking it right now? Niasa (our main character) kind of reminds me of Diana (Wonder Woman) because she was born a Valkyrie rather than made. Same like Diana, right?

I’m pretty sure these are all buddy reads, and I even have a buddy read request form that I made in case you’re crazy enough to want to read a book with me. So yeah, shoot your buddy read shot with me because I love talking about books with people. You just gotta make sure I actually start when we plan to start because I’m a total mood reader.

So I made a mini competition on my personal facebook where whoever guesses the number of books I read by the end of the year will get my favorite book from 2019 as a gift. I don’t know if anyone would actually participate, but I mean… it sounds like fun! Someone said I’d read over 200 books and I just died. I never hit 100 books in a year before, so to double that is just ridiculous to me. I appreciate her faith in me, but I just feel like that can be my goal in a couple of years or so.

Also, I’m almost at 300 followers on my blog! I cannot believe how close I am to my next hundred! I’d love to do another giveaway if anyone is interested! Definitely let me know. I love bringing joy to my friends in the form of books, so a giveaway gives me the perfect excuse to do so.

  1. Such a fun gift idea! I never thought I’d read over 100 before the end of the year but ever since joining the book community I’ve done just that, so you never know what’ll happen! 😉 And considering how many books you read in a week!! Girl!! I’m so impressed! Haha You also totally deserve to be closer to your next hundred followers on your blog. You’re one the most supportive people on here and I love all your posts! Don’t know how you find the time and energy. Amazing! 😘 Happy reading! Can’t wait to see what you think of Want because it looks and sounds so good and it’s on my TBR lol

    1. Dini honestly I’m so freaking proud of you and how many books you’ve read since I met you! You read so fast and all of your reviews just show so much understanding on the novel itself and all the nuances that I probably wouldn’t be able to pick up, and that’s why I love reading your reviews and hearing your thoughts so much! Thank you so much, Dini ❤ I'm still honestly so shocked at how much progress I've had since I revamped my blog at the end of May! Totally different from what I had started off with years ago. It makes me wonder what would have happened if I moved over to WordPress earlier and was more consistent with my blogging. A girl can dream, though!

Oh my gosh you're making me cry! I love you so much and I love our friendship. I know I keep saying that on every comment but it's the truth ❤ Oh, I can't wait to write my thoughts down on Want because I'm really liking it so far.

    1. Thanks so much Evelyn! I’m sure I’ll like both of them as well, and I can’t wait to let you know my thoughts on it. Did you end up writing reviews on those? I’d love to check them out.

OMG I’ve been wanting to read A Hero Born but I can’t find any copies near me! I think I had to preorder it on Amazon so I’ll have to wait until 2020.

  3. Oh my goodness, hoowwwwww did you finish so many books!? You blow my mind. Also, I love the little FB competition idea! I feel like 200 is a far shot for even those in the community who read nonstop 😂 As much as you’ve been reading lately though, I think this year you could get pretty darn close to 100, if not 100!

    Also, CONGRATULATIONS ON 300 FOLLOWERS!!!

    1. I have no freaking idea! Well to be fair, one of those books was only 18 pages, so it looks deceiving. But it’s the entire book!

I mean… I think there’s someone close to 200 already, so I can totally see like the hardcore readers and some of the booktubers who listen at 2x speed on audio finishing 200 in a year. I know I couldn’t do it though, but I’m just so proud of my progress already and beating my goal from last year!

Thank you so much Brittany!! I’m so happy ❤
