Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

Happy Tuesday, y’all. So as of when I’m writing this – Monday night – my voice is almost back. I have to work trivia tomorrow night so hopefully it will be back enough so I don’t have to struggle reading the questions and stuff. You know the deal. So wish me luck on that.
Now, I am such a huge mood reader, so having an actual TBR is difficult for me. I can plan as much as I want, but then when I finish a book, I don’t always get back into the list. Sometimes I end up wanting to do just a huge genre specific read until I’m sick of it, and by the time I’m sick of it then I don’t even want to get back into what I was supposed to read. So besides the books that I eventually want to read for the Astrology Readathon (1) and (2) posts here, hopefully I can figure out what else I want to read this spring. Let’s figure that out, shall we?

[1]- The Davenports – Krystal Marquis

I definitely want to read this one during the Spring if I can. I’m supposed to try to read this for the first Penguin YA Book Club on Fable, but I don’t know if I’ll get a copy on time. I’m trying really hard not to buy anything for a while so I’ll be relying on my library a whole lot more this time around. It helps that I work there, but now I just gotta make sure I actually finish the books that I borrow.
[2]- The Red Palace – June Hur

I have been slacking on my June Hur reads lately. I really only read her first novel and SHEESH HOW CAN I CALL MYSELF A TRUE FAN WHEN I’VE ONLY READ ONE BOOK SO FAR, but I know I need to get at least ONE June Hur book on my list this year. If not all of them, which would be the better goal. And I’ve been dying to read this one so might as well get to it!
[3]- So Many Beginnings – Bethany C. Morrow

Did you know that I’ve never read Little Women, or watched Little Women before? It was just never one of the books that I wanted to read, and I don’t do classics at all so I wouldn’t have gravitated towards it anyway. BUT, I have been wanting to read more books in this Classics Remix series, and I adore Bethany C. Morrow, so might as well start with this one.
[4]- Luck of the Titanic – Stacey Lee

I’ve also been wanting to read a Stacey Lee novel, and this one has always caught my attention. I’ve never been someone who was super into The Titanic or anything, but I want to kind of give it a try with this novel. Plus, I’ve heard some great things about this so I’m down for it.
[5]- Yours Truly – Abby Jimenez

Abby Jimenez has become one of my favorite romance authors after I adored The Friend Zone and The Happy-Ever After Playlist. Especially the latter, my gosh that one broke my heart and mended it again all in one session. There’s still more Abby Jimenez novels that I need to read, but this is the newest one and I certainly want to check this out ASAP.
[6]- Kiss the Girl – Zoraida Cordova

I read the second book in the Meant to Be Collection and I adored it so freaking much! I’m hoping that I enjoy this one just as much. Especially since this one is a Little Mermaid modern retelling and I adore that movie. The Disney one… which I can’t wait to watch the remake with Halle Bailey! Woot woot!

[7]- Partners in Crime – Alisha Rai

I’m putting this one again because I will eventually be reading this for a buddy read with Joanna @ The Geekish Brunette this weekend and it’s going to be great! I don’t know how long it will take me to finish it, but at least I’ll get to start it over the weekend. I’m off from the library on Friday and Sunday, have to work on Saturday, but at least it’s not the whole day on Saturday like other times. I’m excited for it!
[8]- The Black Queen – Jumata Emill

This is one of the books that I have on my list for the Astrology Readathon, and my library hold came through, so I’m going to try to read it soon. Hopefully nobody wants to borrow it yet so that I can get to it when I can. So let’s seeeeee how this one goes.
[9]- The Library of Legends – Janie Chang

I’ve actually been wanting to read this one for a while, and I got a copy from Book of the Month a long, long time ago. So maybe I should actually get to read it one day?! Sheesh.
[10]- The Library of the Unwritten – A.J. Hackwith

This is another ILL that I need to read before the end of the month, so might as well include it on my list for Spring! It is Spring right now, right? Since the time went forward and all that? I don’t even know anymore. I just wake up and go where they tell me to. So I need to get this one under my belt so I can return it on time.

I wish I could figure out how to format my posts better so that they look cleaner and sleeker. I just have been apparently too lazy to figure that out, or I just don’t have that capability or anything… but if someone knows how or whatever, and wants to let me know how to do it, that would be so great! I would appreciate you for life! I’ll be back tomorrow, and I can’t wait to see how many books I’ve read in the past week. I feel like it was a lot, and I know there’s at least one that was utter SHIT but whatever. At least I finished it, right?

Sounds like a fun list with some variety in the books you’ve picked! I want to get to THE LIBRARY OF THE UNWRITTEN sooner or later, too. I hope you enjoy these books!

I cannot wait for Yours Truly and Kiss the Girl! I adored So Many Beginnings. I don’t think you have to know much about Little Women to appreciate it for what it is!

Okay that’s perfect, because I really have no idea about Little Women lol. I’m glad that you enjoyed it so much! ❤

I love that! We seem to have a similar taste in books 🙂 I don’t know if I’ll find a copy of The Davenports in time to read it with the Penguin book club, but if worst comes to worst I’ll try to find an audiobook copy.

It’s always great to find more bloggers with similar reading taste! 🙂 Have you checked your library? Or even an ebook through them. Although, I’m sure it has a waitlist! Wishing you luck on finding a copy.

How did I not know Zoraida Cordova was bringing out a romance novel… scurrying off to add that to my TBR instantly. I also really want to read The Library of the Unwritten, the series has been on my TBR for far too long now. I hope you enjoy any you pick up 😀

OMG RIGHT?! When I saw that, I was immediately intrigued. I love her fantasy stuff, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a contemporary romance from her, so I was curious to see how it goes. I love what she writes though, so I’m sure that I’ll enjoy this one as well.
