Can’t believe that it’s already August. For some reason, I thought I still had more days in July left but I was completely wrong. All that travelling really took a beating out of me, if I’m quite honest. I ended up sleeping the majority of the day yesterday, and thank goodness I planned out my Top 5 Saturday post on Friday before I headed home. I would have been super late posting. And now it’s 2AM on Sunday and I’m awake because I wanted to write out my review for the last ARC I read and I figured since I’m probably going to not wake up again for a while, I should go ahead and work on this.

Wow, that was a lot of word vomit. Sorry!

I came back to Virginia later on Sunday than I anticipated. Basically since our flight from San Francisco to Chicago was delayed by an hour and a half, we missed our final connecting flight to Norfolk. We were put on standby for one flight, and confirmed for the later flight. They only had one standby seat left, so I went home first while Mark stayed later. It was a little bumpy to end our week and a half long vacation, but I’m glad that when I got home, I got the best welcome home reception from my puppies.

I’m still queuing up most of my posts, but I’m taking some time today to write a little bit. I haven’t read much since I’ve been in Hawaii, although I guess I haven’t tried very hard. Well, no. That’s not true. I have tried to read but I have been wanting to enjoy my limited time in Hawaii since I know this isn’t going to happen again in a long time. So far we’ve had some fun driving around the south side of the island, and although the Pali Lookout is closed due to the rock slides, we still got to see some amazing views. It really makes me miss Hawaii a lot more than before.
