This prompt actually makes me really glad that I have a way to track my favorite book every month, since that is going to help me figure out the majority of the books to include on this list. Do you know how HARD it is to pick what my favorite book is each month? It was the hardest darn thing ever! But I did it, and I plan on doing it again next year just in case there’s another prompt like this in 2021!

So since I already have a photo of what my favorite books were for 2020 – with the exception of December and the first four months of the year when I didn’t have a reading journal – I’m going to share it with you here.

Now for the rest of my picks.
[8]-Dating Makes Perfect by Pintip Dunn

You wanna know just how much I loved this book? Just enjoy my full post about it here.
[9]-Clap When You Land by Elizabeth Acevedo

Listening to this audiobook gave me all kinds of feelings and emotions that I just really needed to let out, you know? I’m really glad that I listened to it because that kind of raw emotion and pain and anger that both Yahaira and Comino feel throughout the entire story. It gave me chills.
[10]-Cinderella is Dead by Kalynn Bayron

I remember reading this one in almost a whole day or less because I was so intrigued with how this story went. Kalynn really brought the whole mythos of Cinderella into the limelight that made me think about how messed up the original storyline really was. I loved the aspects that she took from what we already know about Cinderella and added so much more detail and story to what we have today. I can’t wait to read Kalynn’s next novel!

Whoo! That was hard you know?! How can I only pick 10 for the year when the majority of the books that I read this year were freaking amazing?
But somehow I did it, and this is what the list came out to be. But as far as what my favorite book is for December… that’s still a mystery until January 1st.

Clap When You Land is so, so good. And the audiobook version sounds like it’s amazing, with all the raw emotion!!
And you’re right — Cinderella is Dead does so many interesting things with the original story; Kalynn Bayron is so talented!
Thank you for sharing! I love seeing everyone’s faves from this year. 🙂

I love how you keep track of your favorite book each month! That’s a great, but difficult, practice! I am excited that Forest of Souls is on your list. I’ve been wanting to read that one, but have heard a mixed bag of reviews. Looking forward to reading it now!
