TBR Lows & Highs 022

TBR Lows & Highs 022

So today is officially my 5th year anniversary of being married, and both of us are working today so we can’t really celebrate. It’s okay though, because it’s just like any other day. We can celebrate some other day, really. The only thing I’m really bummed about is that I have a super long doctor’s appointment this morning and I’m going to have to miss the staff luncheon that we are having for our accountant’s retirement. And it’s at one of my favorite restaurants too!

Wow look at me prioritizing food over my health. Oh well lol. Actually I didn’t because if that was the case, I would have gone to the luncheon but I didn’t! So boo yeah, Leelynn for getting my health together.

On another note, it is Monday yet again! Which means it’s time for another TBR Lows & Highs post, hosted and created by Destiny @ Howling Libraries! Go check her out if you haven’t already, and let’s see how much more books I can take off my TBR to get it to a somewhat reasonable level.

Honestly I just want to stop adding books to my TBR right now. But then yeah, I know that will never happen and maybe I need to realize that. I actually don’t really know if I either want to read or watch Dumplin’, even though I heard some pretty good things about the book? I just don’t think it was on my radar to make a priority. Nothing wrong with that really, but sorry if people see this on my list and totally freak out.

The Hand on the Wall (Truly Devious #3) — Maureen Johnson

I’m refusing to read the sequel until this one comes out, and it doesn’t come out until January 2020 so I’ll wait for a bit.

Dangerous Alliance: An Austentacious Romance – Jennieke Cohen

I got approved for this ARC somewhere (either Netgalley or Edelweiss, I forget) so I got to make sure I read it. I may not read a lot of Jane Austen directly, but I like retellings and inspirations of her novels. I just can’t understand classics enough to enjoy what is being told. Not that educated, you know?

The Casquette Girls (The Casquette Girls #1) – Alys Arden

I saw some really good thoughts about this one, plus apparently there are vampires involved in this one, so I’ll add it for a bit and see how long it takes me to get to it. Probably a year or more, but we will see.

Whoa, okay I need to stop binge watching “Lie to Me”. It’s making me want to look at everyone to see if they’re lying about something, and whether I look like I’m lying about something – like how far behind I am on ARCs and everything, you know? LOL. I think that’s why this show got canceled. Too many people staring at one another and ruining relationships.

I’ve heard great things about the Maureen Johnson series but I haven’t started it because I know cliffhangers are involved and I CAN’T DO IT TO MYSELF – I have to wait till it’s all released LOL
