August is almost over! Thank freaking gosh. I’m over the heat and I want it to be just a little cooler so I’m not constantly melting through my skin.

But seriously. I would say that the post that I’m most proud of during my entire blogging career is the Blog Tour post for All the Bad Apples because… look at it. The review was pretty good. The graphics were done by me and way better than before. My playlist was banging. My dream cast was pretty okay too? I just need to give myself more props, okay!

Yeah, so ARC August isn’t going very well, but I’m loving the library! I think that has to count for something, right? Well, how did you guys do? How are you doing with your progress on ARCs? What are some of your tips for reading as many ARCs as possible? Let me know! I’d love to hear from you.

I have so ARCs to prioritize in September! Must resist the library for other interesting-looking books right now lol. Good job on the books you’ve finished. ๐

I need to somehow focus on my ARCs without getting distracted. Or an incentive system. For every two ARCs I finish, I can read a backlist. I don’t know. I hope it works out! Thanks so much, Kitty and I wish you luck on all of your ARCs in September ๐

I think I have like 6? Arcs to read but honestly, the library and new releases has been my go-to this week!

See I need to get my ARCs to a controllable number like that. Single digits is a huge goal for me!

I have hardly requested any ARCs lately – I found that it stopped me from reading the books I already own and want to read. About one a month is the right amount for me ๐

I feel like I’m slowly getting to that point, although I feel bummed that I am. I think that’s also why I’ve been taking a break from ARCs and reading more backlisted items so I can catch up and not worry about deadline ๐

I review one ARC a week so… I pretty much read one ARC every week. So I’ve read no more and no less than usual.

That’s a good way to stay consistent! Thanks for that โค

I’ve been reading a lot, but I haven’t gotten to my NetGalley reads in a long time. I’m afraid they’re going to take away my badge if I don’t read an ARC soon! Glad to see you like libraries – I’m a librarian ๐ As for the end of the summer, I’m glad too because fall is my favorite season!

Do they take away your badges?! I didn’t know that! I guess I better start reading on Netgalley ASAP. And I have two ARCs from Edelweiss that I haven’t touched either. I need to do those very, very soon. Oh that’s so awesome! I’ve always wanted to work in a library, even more now that I love going there again.

Haha no I donโt think so but itโs been ages since Iโve read a NetGalley book so Iโve been worried! I have so many books to read itโs hard to keep up! ๐

That’s how I feel! I think I need to stop being trigger happy with the request button ๐ i think it would be easier for me though if I was able to request more physical copies because I feel like my eyes are getting so strained from reading on my kindle, that it gives me a major headache to continue reading on there. Which is a bummer because it’s so much more cost efficient to send it as a PDF or a MOBI, but then I can barely keep my eyes on it.

I know what you mean. When I read a lot on my Kindle, my eyes begin to blur.

Considering the horrible reading slump I had for half the month, ARC August and just reading in general this month has not gone at all as planned! ๐ I hope that September is a much better reading month. Excited to be reading Priory with you ๐ I don’t know how I missed your post for All the Bad Apples but I’m gonna check it out now! That cover though!! It has me so intrigued!

That is like me, Dini! I feel like I barely read any ARCs this month, and I was hoping to do better this month to catch up. We can always look forward to September! I think we can both do well. I’m also super excited to read Priory with you!!!

You DEFINITELY need to give yourself props! Or else I’ll give them to you and force you to accept them, lol. You’ve been doing amazing and I hope you know that! โฅ Also, you read such good books this week!? That cover of All the Bad Apples makes me want to own it just so I can show it off on my shelves, lol.

LOL this is why I love you though, because I’m the worst at giving myself actual props. I front for the blog *don’t tell* and then internally I’m like /oh god why do you do this/ so yeah. LOL that’s exactly why I bought it! Just so I can have the cover (but also to see if anything ended up changing in the final copy).

I will give you allllllll the props and make sure you accept them! ๐ I’m blown away by how quickly you’ve found your voice and place in this community. You’re doing amazingโฅ And I loveee buying final copies of ARCs I read for that same reason! I want to see if there were any changes made ๐ I also sometimes just cannot ignore the beautiful covers and have to buy them for myself.
