Thank you again to Sam @ Taking on a World of Words for hosting this weekly meme. I’m pretty sure you all know the drill by now, but in case you don’t and you want to join, here are the three questions we always answer:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you will read next?

- I Love You So Mochi – Sarah Kuhn
- All I’ve Wanted All I’ve Needed – A. E. Valdez
- Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow – Gabrielle Zevin
- Never Look Back – Lilliam Rivera
Not gonna lie, I feel like I’m slowing down with my reading, and honestly that’s okay! I was looking at my reading journal after I added some mini reviews from January thru April (which I’m not completely done with) and apparently it took so much of the space in my journal that I don’t think I’ll be able to do that again without having to use another one. Not like there’s anything wrong with using two journals for my reading year, but I kind of liked using on one journal per year, you know? So I either continue doing those mini reviews every triad, or only pick my favorites each month and try to consolidate space. I don’t know. Just something I’ve been thinking about.
I’m loving Never Look Back and I’m glad that I am getting through that fairly quickly. The narrators are amazing, and not gonna lie, the guy who narrates Pheus is so audibly pleasing that I want to hear him in other books now. He’s so hot haha I’m sorry.

- A Deadly Inside Scoop – Abby Collette
- Unlawful Orders – Barbara Binns
Not gonna lie, I think the reason why I’ve been in somewhat of a slump is because of Unlawful Orders. I didn’t end up rating it because while I think the content was important and definitely something that I’d never learned about in the past, but it was hard for me to get through. I couldn’t imagine having my middle schoolers have to read it for Battle of the Books, but then again I’m not much of a non-fiction person. Maybe the topic will be good enough to keep them engaged. I just don’t know. I used it to help me fall asleep when my back gave out, so that tells you what I think about non-fiction.
Sorry, I guess I’m too much of a fiction lover.

- Together We Burn – Isabel Ibanez
- She is a Haunting – Trang Thanh Tran
- The Fraud Squad – Kyla Zhao
- Spin the Dawn – Elizabeth Lim
These are definitely the books that I want to get through this month. Just part of my TBR, but still a decent amount of books nonetheless. Two of them are for TBR & Beyond and then the other one is for Bookish Chaos. I’m debating on using one of the above books for Astrology Readathon as well, since I’ll be in the mood when I read it. But we will see.

So… something ended up happening with my back last week. Like, I was in so much pain whenever I moved that I couldn’t even sleep. It was the worst feeling I ever felt. I ended up having to miss trivia Friday night because I was in pain at the library that morning. I went to the ER on Saturday and they said that it will take me about a month to be fully better. It wasn’t specifically a muscle spasm but it was something to do with the muscle in my back on the left side. I’m a bit worried because a lot of my jobs have to do with me lifting things and putting weight on my back when I have to travel back and forth to the venue. At least from the car to the venue, but still. And I can’t stay in bed too long either because that will make it worse.
Right now I am on some medication to help, but it’s not perfect. It’s helping at least, but I’m definitely not at 100%. It’s keeping me from concentrating on writing some reviews for my blog too, which sucks because I want to make sure I am adding those here. But I won’t push myself too hard or else I’ll be out of commission longer than I thought.
Anyway, I hope you’re all doing well! I miss engaging with you all, and I appreciate you for visiting my blog and leaving comments. I’m going to work on responding and blog hopping again when I get home.

Tomorrow x3 was one that I really enjoyed and I hope you do too! Happy reading!
