Top Ten Tuesday | Books I Recommend to Others the Most

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

Hello, good morning, my friends. Hello, good morning, my friends.

That’s the good morning song that we sing at Storytime on Thursdays and I have that song in my head all the time. So I figured I’d include it here. It is pretty cute too if you could hear the melody.

I know that I didn’t post last week, and honestly it was because I was having a busy week. Surprisingly though, this week is even more busy with programs the whole week, and two programs on Wednesday. I’m a little stressed about it, but I just need to get through it and make it. We will see how it goes!

This week’s prompt is about books that I recommend the most. I honestly don’t know if there are ten of them that I recommend the most, but I’ll think about them and list them here for you! Let me know if you recognize any of them, or have read and/or recommended them as well:

  1. A Blade so Black – L.L. McKinney
  2. Only a Monster – Vanessa Len
  3. The Kiss Quotient – Helen Hoang
  4. Forest of Souls – Lori M. Lee
  5. Legendborn – Tracy Deonn
  6. How Moon Fuentez Fell in Love with the Universe – Raquel Vasquez Gilliland
  7. Tokyo Ever After – Emiko Jean
  8. Firekeeper’s Daughter – Angeline Boulley
  9. We Set the Dark on Fire – Tehlor Kay Mejia
  10. Raybearer – Jordan Ifueko

I actually gave some of these books to one of my coworkers to check out as well, the ones that my library had in stock. And so far she’s liking them, so I’m super happy about that! These are definitely the ones that I’m always loving and I know there are probably more that I haven’t put here, because there are just so many books that I do end up loving lately. I’m happy about that too because I’ve been pretty lucky with my track record of books I like.

  1. Great list, Leelynn! I’ve still got to read Only A Monster and… well… Most of the books on this list 😂 BUT I did love Helen Hoang’s books a lot and I always recommend them too! Hope you have a great week ahead 🙂
