That’s a good feeling right there.

Okay, I don’t know what it is about married people leaving their spouses for a newer model (that’s my line for referencing leaving someone for someone younger) but that just grinds my gears. Do they really think that this younger person is going to want to deal with the issues that come with older age like that? Just kidding, I really don’t know what goes on in their minds and hey sometimes it’s really a match made in heaven and is all about love.
Either way, having Annie’s husband leave her for someone 20 years younger than her right before her birthday was such a terrible way to get this adventure started and I felt bad for her. BUT, luckily Annie is single and hopefully ready to mingle and have some fun because now she doesn’t have that dead weight holding her down.
Thank goodness for Bella and Caz for coming to the rescue with a trip to Dubai because this will definitely be a better way to remember the big 6-0 than a divorce. This book gave me a lot of laughs, and it also made me think about what are some of the things I want to do before I hit 60, or even before that! It was a fun time.

Length: 300 pages

Annie’s big birthday is looming. Sixty! She feels half that age, even if the mirror tells her otherwise. Hubby Keith promises her a birthday to remember, and doesn’t let her down, but packing his suitcase to shack up with a forty-something isn’t quite the memory Annie wants to make. Suddenly she’s single and – as an empty nester – very, very alone. The Bucket List she and Keith had promised to work their way through is but a dream, until besties Bella and Caz rally around Annie and whisk her away for a trip that will be remembered for ever. Dubai. But it’s not all skyscrapers, bling, sand dunes and sheiks. As the sun sinks over the horizon of Jumeirah Beach… might there also be love?

Prior to turning her attention to writing, Debbie Viggiano was, for more years than she cares to remember, a legal secretary. She lives with her Italian husband, a rescued pooch from Crete, and a very disgruntled cat. Occasionally her adult children return home bringing her much joy… apart from when they want to raid the fridge or eat her secret stash of chocolate.
