I’m so happy that today is Friday. I plan on spending the rest of the day reading and/or watching TV or something to take my mind off of everything bothering me this week. I think it’s days like this where I wish that my partner were home, you know? I know I’ll be okay, but I just hope that he will be with everything happening right now. I just want to give him such a huge hug and tell him I love and miss him.
Anyway, thank you as always to Rachel’s Random Resources for having me on this tour. Today is the last day for the tour, so be sure to click on the banner to see all of the other posts from earlier on.

Skye is a great author, and I enjoy her romance novels. This happens to be the third book in the Sublime Retreats Romance series, although all three of them work as a standalone. I think that’s one of my favorite things about romance series novels since usually they can work as standalones and it doesn’t matter what order you read them in, if you end up reading all of them at least.
It always makes me happy when we see our main protagonists working in a career that they love, or recently getting into a career that they have been working towards for a long time. This is the case with Sofia when she lands a job working for Sublime Retreats. I’m hella proud of Sofia for this, and I think you would be too. But of course, since we need some conflict to happen in stories – or else what would make them interesting – a situation happens where Sofia will need to travel to Florence, Italy in order to handle some business. And of course, what makes it even worse is that she is going to have to deal with someone she doesn’t really get along with. Doesn’t this have the makings of a funny rom com story?
I appreciate that Sofia doesn’t allow Adam’s cold exterior to ruin this experience. I mean, come on! Would I allow some stuffy dude to take away my experience of exploring Florence, Italy?! Heck no! I think Sofia was nicer than me though, wanting to get Adam out of his shell and show him the finer things in life I guess, but hey, that’s why this story is about her and not me. I think the journey was fantastic, and I enjoyed the story between the two characters as well. Great addition to Skye’s repertoire and I look forward to reading other stories from her.

When she lands the opportunity to work for Peter Williams at Sublime Retreats, it’s a dream come true and the last thing on her mind is romance.
Then an unfortunate accident means she has to go to Florence with the cold and standoffish Adam Flynn, and she knows she will have to put up with him for two whole weeks. Determined to prove her worth to the company, she throws herself into making the trip successful and dragging Adam out of his shell.
As the sparks begin to fly and Florence seduces them both, will Adam let his guard drop despite his father’s concerns about Sofia’s family ties and can she finally find a man that her brothers will approve of?

Joy lives on the seductive island of Corfu with her four dogs and an embarrassing number of cats.
Her many years working in the tourist industry on this sunny isle and her love of all things literary inspired her first novel Corfu Capers which recently hit the #1 spot in Parenting and Family humour much to her delight.
She loves to cook, dance and drink wine, usually at the same time, and is currently working on book number four, due to be released later this year.
She also loves to travel, absolutely anywhere, and is looking forward to jumping on a plane!
