Let’s Talk Bookish | Books based on Games, Shows, Movies, or Comics

Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly meme, that is hosted by Rukky @ Eternity Books and Dani @ Literary Lion, where we discuss certain topics, share our opinions, and spread the love by visiting each other’s posts.

Thanks Dani for such a great topic! I don’t think I have a lot of options for this, but I’ll definitely include at least one that I know of since that may be the ONLY one I know of!

Obviously I had to include my Avatar the Last Airbender and Legend of Korra comic books! Sure, they aren’t traditional novels but hey, reading is reading no matter what you’re reading, right? And I adore ATLA and LOK soooooo freaking much! Two of my favorite TV shows in the world, and I definitely need to read all of the comics when I can.

And quite frankly…. I honestly have no idea what else may be out there, but one of my friends did help me learn something new.

So apparently, even though technically this doesn’t count because it was published before the movie came out…. this happened to be an earlier version of the script… yeah I know this doesn’t count but my friend helped me with another one.

Y’all! Did you know that THERE ARE FREAKING 28 BOOKS ABOUT THE HALO GAMES?! Well this series is based on the Halo games, and I’m just floored.

No offense to any hardcore Halo gamers… my bad.

AND THEN!

THERE WAS A ONE OFF BOOK FOR TEEN WOLF?! Like the hell??? That’s so freaking interesting.

Sorry friends, I could not be super serious on this one since I was having no luck. I also wasn’t really researching as much because I was getting distracted, but I at least wanted to make sure that I got out my ATLA and LOK comic books, since those are based on some of the best shows ever.

Did you have better luck than I did?

  1. I haven’t read the ATLA comics yet – come to think of it, I’ve never read a single movie-to-book adaptation, lol.
