Have you ever seen the Netflix Original Series documentary about Anitta? It’s so telling about her and how much work she has put into everything that she does. She really is amazing, and I really hope that Netflix does a Season 2. The first season felt short because I believe it was only 8 episodes or something like that but I watched it all in one night and it was just super emotional and amazing to see.
Thank you again to Sam @ Taking on a World of Words for hosting this weekly meme. I’m pretty sure you all know the drill by now, but in case you don’t and you want to join, here are the three questions we always answer:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you will read next?

- Something To Talk About – Meryl Wilsner
- Red Ribbon Tree – Brittni Chenelle
- The House in the Cerulean Sea – T. J. Klune
All three of these books are amazing so far! I’m totally enjoying my time reading them, and I’m glad that I am reading them right now. I feel like all three of them are different enough that I am getting the best of all worlds right now, and there are aspects of each of these stories that are making me really happy right now. And as much as I know that I need to get to some other books before the end of the year, I’m not complaining that I’m taking my time reading these.

- Becoming Alpha – Aileen Erin
- The Blood Bride – Imogene Nix
- Westside – W. M. Akers
I don’t know why I felt like I read a lot more than that, but oh well. I think this is a good enough amount of books to have finished in a week’s worth of time. I may not have started and finished them in a week, but it’s nice that I was finally able to finish the ARC that I had started a while ago, and get through a novel from a new to me author! That was really exciting, and I did enjoy the novel a lot. I have been pretty lucky to have had awesome books throughout the entire year! I don’t think that’s happened in a while, so I’m pretty grateful since 2020 as a whole was pretty crappy.

- The Water Dancer – Ta-Nehisi Coates
My boss actually told me that he was reading this one day – maybe a couple of months ago – and he said that he was really enjoying it and recommended it to me. My audiobook hold finally came in a couple of days ago, so as soon as I finish The House of the Cerulean Sea, I’m going to start listening to it. I’m so excited to see it, and I hope that my boss knows me well enough to pick a book that I’ll end up liking. I’m sure he will, so I’ll have to let him know what I thought about it, even though it took me a while to get to it, you know? LOL.

Meetings back to back is driving me crazy, fam. Headache again! Aiyah.
Have a good Wednesday and/or Thursday, everyone! Stay healthy.

I really want to read House in the Cerulean Sea! I’m glad you’re enjoying all your current reads 🥰

I love this blog so much.
What are you currently reading?
Finishing Mexican Gothic. I absolutely adore it so far. I only paused on it temporarily because of work. The storytelling is fantastic!
What did you recently finish reading?
Nana. When I’m busy with work I tend to read manga and comics. I went with a classic series. Seriously one of the best shojo’s to date. It never gets old.
What do you think you will read next?
I haven’t decided. I’ve been checking out everyone’s recommendations and adding to my TBR. Hopefully I get gifted some of these books come Christmas!
