I just realized that I haven’t done a favorites in a while, so here you go! I feel like I’ve been slowly showing love, but forgetting to spread the love, so I apologize for that! Also, yes, I’m loving my new post graphics. I’m so proud of myself, and thank you to Canva for making it easier for me to do. If you know me (which, I’m sure you guys do by now), I am not artistic at ALL. This helps so much!

- American Royals review – Beth @ The Reader’s Corner
“I really enjoyed that we had chapters from 4 of the characters as each of them where hiding something big and there is only so long you can keep a secret before the truth comes out.” - REVIEW TIME: Reflection by Elizabeth Lim – Mel @ The Book Moo

” As a fantasy lover, I always long for diversity. And did it delivered? Yes, from characters, emotionally, and geographically. Subtle tones of character’s sexuality were injected in the amount that isn’t overwhelming, especially as a personage of coming out.”

- What to Include in Contemporary Books with POC Characters – Aimee @ Aimee, Always
” Authors, take note! There are so many non-white people who love to read! In the Philippines alone, book signings are jam-packed with THOUSANDS of readers willing to line up for hours just to see their favorite authors. WE DESERVE SOME REPRESENTATION, YES?? And accurate representation, at that!” - Things White People Should Stop Doing When Reading Diverse Books: Issue #1 – Em @ Em’s Bookish Musings
” The fact we have a totally different way of life and structure for naming, because what the hell does “x character has a weird name” or “Wtf, I hate x book, I couldn’t pronounce x character’s name.” or “is this even a real name?” mean?” - Thursday Talks: Why Being a Book Reviewer is NOT Easy? – Alys @ Alys in Bookland
“Every time, some of my friends would find out that I’m doing reviews on books that I’ve been reading, they always tell me that it’s cool and such, but sometimes, some of them would make a snide comment that it’s just easy and they can also do it because of school works like it, but they just find it not worthy of their time.” - Debut ’19 Interview: Nina Varela & Crier’s War – Nina @ The Book Bratz
“In 2019 our goal is to work with as many debut authors as possible and spread the word about their debut novels. Follow us this year as we pick the mind of the 2019 debuts and chat with them. Also stay tuned for news of giveaways, twitter chats and more!“

“To start off, I’ll mostly be recommending books/podcasts based on different topics, but I’m hoping to expand this series beyond just that and integrate discussions on storytelling between the two and so much more!”

Great roundup of posts, and your new graphics are looking great! Canva is honestly such a lifesaver for graphics if you aren’t artistically inclined or able to purchase software.

Oh my god, the cute little mermaid gif is so cute, and so is your end graphic. I really love. Great round up post! I definitely read What White Readers Should Not Do earlier, it was quite informal to see that white people are like that (luckily not me.) and likes to butcher up people’s names or literally say they can’t pronounce. People, google exist when I see those type of reviews because they didn’t know the pronunciation.

Yeah it was an interesting read, and I have seen people say that so I’m glad someone pointed it out.
