Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

Hello everyone!
My goodness, it’s been a hell of a month for me, and I can’t believe that it’s been three months since I started working at the library. It’s going to be four months and at the beginning of May, I’ll be working on leading my own programs and working on developing more for the next triad. It’s been an amazing and busy time for me, but I’m really happy that I’ve been doing this. I swear this is the perfect job for me right now, and I’m so glad that I was picked for this position.
As we know, I absolutely adore audiobooks and for me, the narrator is very important for me. If I’m not fond of them, it’s hard for me to get through the story. It can actually make or break whether I continue to listen to the book, or even read the book at all.
So I’m going to list a few of the ones that I’m really into here, and I wonder if some of them will be on your list too!
- Jeanette Illidge
- Shiromi Arserio
- Joniece Abbott-Pratt
- Cindy Kay
- Kyla Garcia
- Frankie Corzo
- Kim Mai Guest
- Elizabeth Acevedo
- Nancy Wu
- Emily Woo Zeller
- Joy Osmanski
I made sure to include the links to some of their works – yes they are Audible links, sorry about that – but maybe you recognize some of the books that they’ve narrated! And yes, I ended up puting more than ten books, but I wanted to make sure I included Joy since I do love her work!
So who is on your list? I’m sorry this one is not as long as usual.

Omg I love 6 9 and 10 but had such a hard time whittling it down to 12!

I am in awe of Elizabeth Acevedo! And I also love Shiromi Arserio narration. The Jasmine Throne was incredible on audio!

I also really enjoy listening to Elizabeth Acevedo and Emily Woo Zeller narrate books! A good narrator can make or break an audiobook.

Same! If I find a narrator annoying, I immediately stop listening to the book. It definitely makes or breaks the listening experience for me. I haven’t listened to anything with these narrators, but I’ll definitely be checking them out. Thanks for the list.
Happy TTT!

I’m so glad to hear that you’re loving your job, Leelynn! Working in a library really does sound amazing 🙂 I hope you continue loving it! I had two of these narrators on my TTT list as well! I love hearing Acevedo narrate her own books and I’m currently listening to Emily Woo Zeller narrate Kuang’s Poppy War series. Great stuff 😃

I’ve listened to Emily Woo Zeller and wasn’t really a fan but I’m glad you’ve enjoyed her narration more!
