The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news about the past week, reading recaps, new hauls, and more.

So I really haven’t made as much progress as I wanted to on the ARC that I was reading, but I did make some, which is always great to hear. The two main characters finally met and it was hilarious. The main dude Ace was a total asshole, and I feel like it was such a front to hide his true feelings. Which I guess is what happens when you’re a hot ass dude that is trying to keep thirsty women away now that he wants to just find love. I think it worked out that they started off as … hmm I wouldn’t say completely enemies but definitely adversaries. I think they are becoming friends though, so that’s good. It’s still somewhat early in the book though, so we will see!

I did so much better this week! I didn’t even get a bunch of books this week. But… the fact that I still got books… okay okay leave me alone haah.

I’m slowly not browsing for new books so that I can make sure I read the ones that I have. It’s the almost perfect system, really.

I first have to preface this by saying: Don’t go bowling with your nails done. You’ll break them and then walk around with only 9 nails done until you go on your girls day date to get nails done in two more weeks.

Talk about OUCH! It hurt so much and I wasn’t expecting it to happen. I really wanted to get it done, but the more I thought about it, the more I didn’t want them to have to fix ALL of them because then they won’t all be even if they just did one. I really didn’t want to get them done only after a week, but I guess I’ll just have to deal with it for now. It’s okay though. It’s also bruised from when it cracked in half at first, and then when it came off completely. I don’t have a good enough photo to show it, but I guess it’s okay because I don’t want to freak anyone out. It’s not terrible, but it hurts a bit.

The week went well, and I’m happy that I’ve been having great weeks! Not only did I get to participate in the LVA On the Road event at North Suffolk Library, but I also got to join the Adventure Club event with the library! We played Laser Tag, and it was actually a lot of fun. It was my first time playing laser tag, and luckily I brought my partner with me – he signed up for the event and even though he started off on the waitlist, there were enough cancellations that he got off it. It was a blast, and we actually ended up going back to the venue so we could bowl and play pool with some of his coworkers. While that is where I broke my nail, it was still a great weekend, which I’m really happy about.

I guess one thing that I could also share is that I’ve started this paint by numbers thing and it’s been going so well! I enjoy it and it helps me relax a bit when I can. I won’t be able to do it tomorrow because I have a Yelp event that I need to go to, but maybe later in the week.

And I guess that’s really it! Let’s see what happens next week.

I honestly haven’t been listening to anything other than books, but I had to share one of my all time favorite songs that I was listening to when I was doing a lot of driving. I really should do some painting again when I get a chance and I’m not so tired and then see if I can listen to some music.

It’s such a good song, I love it.

So I was feeling super nostalgic and ended up switching back to Xena. I love Xena and Gabrielle so much, and I’m going to need more books that give me Xena vibes. Plus I adore how strong Xena is and whenever I’m in a Xena mood, that means I want to fight some people. Or at least just get into the kind of shape where I could beat people up if needed. I swear I’m actually a sweet person.

Sorry this is super late. Once I got home from breakfast, I really couldn’t stay up. I’m actually really glad that I somehow was able to get some reading in while I was waiting for our food. It was great, and I’m loving my buddy read book a whole lot! I hope everyone else had a great week, and I’ll see you soon.
