Thank you again to Sam @ Taking on a World of Words for hosting this weekly meme. I’m pretty sure you all know the drill by now, but in case you don’t and you want to join, here are the three questions we always answer:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you will read next?

- I Love You So Mochi – Sarah Kuhn
- We Are Blood and Thunder – Kesia Lupo
- All I’ve Wanted All I’ve Needed – A. E. Valdez
- Beetle & the Hollowbones – Aliza Layne
- The City of Dusk – Tara Sim
- Her Majesty’s Necromancer – C. J. Archer
I’m almost done with We Are Blood and Thunder! I honestly don’t think I’ll be able to get to my other ILLs by the time they need to be returned so I’ll have to end up either borrowing them again later on, or try to find audiobook versions at some point. However, I know that I will need to start getting through my books for Astrology Readathon so that I can make sure that I can finish on time. Again, my goal is to read at least two books per month for the readathon, one from each prompt list.
I’m also making some great progress on The City of Dusk, and I hope that I’ll be able to finish it before the group discussion on Saturday. I should be able to, but you never know. I also tried to read earlier today but I ended up passing out after lunch. So that didn’t work out very well. I also didn’t seem to have some time to work on my project reads, so that’s why I haven’t made much progress on it yet. I hope I can soon.

- Crier’s War – Nina Varela
Yep, I only read one book this week. It’s okay though, because I really didn’t feel like rushing through any of them. I also wasn’t sick this week so I wasn’t confined to my room trying to figure out what to do lol. It’s totally okay though, and I’m glad I got at least one book down this week. I also forgot to listen to books while I was painting except when I finished Crier’s War, so maybe I can make sure I start doing that.
Yes, I’m rambling again.

- Partners in Crime – Alisha Rai
- Blazewrath Games – Amparo Ortiz
- The Grace of Kings – Ken Liu
Those are the first two books I’ll read for the readathon, and Partners in Crime is my buddy read with Joanna, which I’m so excited about! She mentioned that she was late, but I am actually the one that’s late to start it… Oops! I can’t wait to read these three!

I definitely need to kick up my reading again. I love getting through audiobooks when I rest, but I think I’ll have to try to incorporate that while I’m painting. It’s been so much fun to try it out, even though it’s just a paint by numbers thing. I’m not very artistic so it helps me to create something with that kind of guidance. It’s also been really relaxing surprisingly. Shout out to art therapy I guess, even if that’s not specifically what I’m doing. I may have to look into that though, and maybe I can start being creative again.
I hope everyone is having a good week so far! This week is going to be so weird, but I’m excited to see how it goes. I’ll keep y’all posted for sure.

haha, I am glad were are so easy going with the buddy read. 😂

I’ve been listening to an audiobook while crafting lately, and it’s more relaxing than I thought it would be! I hope if you try audiobooks while you’re painting that you have the same kind of experience.

Ooh, We Are Blood and Thunder’s cover is pretty! I Love You So Mochi was so so cute 😭 😭 I’m currently 59% into The City of Dusk so I’m hoping to finish it before the Saturday chat 😅 Which is easier for me because it’s later in the night lol.
I’ve started to be able to listen to audiobooks while I’m blogging – which has been really helpful because I have so many books to review and so many books to READ 😂
