OMG yes I actually enjoyed this series when I was in high school. I think I was in high school? I don’t remember. My mom actually read it first and then I read it after her. She went through them pretty quickly too! I guess we know where I got my love of reading from – definitely knew that though lol. But yeah…. I don’t think I’ll ever read this again, no read any of the other books with the different point of views or whatever. It was good to read once, and now it’s just done. No offense to any Twihards, I just can’t do it. Different strokes for different folks.

Yes, I’m only including the first three books because that’s all I read, and it was a complete series on its own without the final two books. Just saying.
I honestly don’t remember who recommended this since this was a long time ago. I also believe that when I first heard about this series, I thought that it was just going to be more like a beauty pageant thing where it’s all about the competition and the romance or whatever. I definitely wasn’t expecting the political turmoil that takes place throughout the book, and I think I liked that a little bit more than the main plot. Some events in the last novel messed me up though. I definitely wasn’t expecting THAT.

*I didn’t include the final book since I haven’t read it yet. Ugh I can’t wait though!
I had be gifted an ARC of the second novel from Edelweiss but since it really tied in to the first one, I had to find the first one and read that first. That took forever for some reason, but after I did read the first one I was like WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG?! And the second novel was freaking amazing! I feel like I almost liked it better than the first, but both of them were just superb.

If this doesn’t get adapted into a TV series, and if it doesn’t get the justice it deserves, I will RIOT! I’m so glad I finally got up off my ass and read Jade City. That was AMAZING. And knowing that I have these final two books to go through, and knowing that Jade Legacy spans 20 years after the events of Jade War, I’m just so intrigued even more. Please someone make this into a kick ass TV series pleaseeee.

I will never ever ever ever get over this book! I don’t know how many times I will recommend this book on Facebook when people are asking for something to read. I never get tired of this story and I’m seriously dying for the sequel already.

Even though the ARC I received wasn’t in color, I did get to see some of the final pages for this novel and ugh it’s freaking beautiful. I know it takes place in the future, but I never thought the future could look that beautiful.

It’s been a while since I listened to it but I just remember feeling like there was so much going on and then things happened that I wasn’t expecting and by the time it was done, I had to just relax for a bit. It really did feel like I had been on this super long intense rollercoaster.

Oh man this book made me want to eat a bunch of Thai food. I think the next time Mark is at work I’m gonna go find a place since it’s been like YEARS since I’ve had good Thai food. I wish I had a friend that could make legit Thai food but alas I do not. But maybe today… or tomorrow… hmmmmm.
*also I’d rather have strawberries than cherries but hey.

This book was tough to read even if it dealt with some romance. I liked it though, but I could see why others didn’t. This reminded me more than taught me about the inherent biases and stereotypes that we have in our lives, whether they come from our parents or other family members. And its really up to us to change that trend.

This was a fun tag. It also made me think about the dates that I hadn’t gone on yet. I’ll have to do that soon. I’m dying to do the amusement park one for sure, I miss going to those. But then I’m over crowds of people so that may not work… idk! But I do want to go on a date at some point again for my birthday.

great post! i love your answers
