I don’t remember if I already mentioned what the Blind Date with a Book WAS after I shared the hints, but that would be The Hunted. I’m already hooked on the book from the very first chapter, and I’m curious to see how this story ends for Amber. I think it’s also cool that she’s working to become a librarian and is able to move around and take classes wherever she needs to hid.

As for Each of Us a Desert, I decided to listen to the audiobook so that I can hear everything the way it’s supposed to sound. I feel kind of dumb for how I thought Xiochital was pronounced before I heard the narration. I think that’s the better way I can read something to make sure that I’m hearing what each word is supposed to be. The rest maybe I can physically read more often lol.

I totally forgot that I was supposed to write a review for What Kind of Girl a LONG time ago, so I’m in the middle of that. I think I got maybe a third of the way done for now, and maybe tonight I’ll try to concentrate and write more of it, or even finish it! That’s the goal anyway, and then work on some other reviews that I seriously need to write. I’m glad I’m writing reviews again!

I’m SO close to finishing Jade City, so when I’m done with that, I’m going to start reading the Earthsinger Chronicles series, starting with Song of Blood & Stone by L. Penelope! In preparation of the final book coming out, L. Penelope is hosting a readalong of the main three novels and their novellas before the final book comes out in August.

I have been meaning to read this series for a long, long time, and now that the final book is coming out, and that there’s going to be a readalong, there’s no excuse for me NOT to read it! I’m excited I already have the three main novels, and I just ordered a signed copy of the novellas. I can’t wait to have the whole series on my shelf and share my thoughts on these books!

I miss doing readalongs… I miss doing buddy reads… I miss doing buddy read discussions… I need to get back into it again, but also get better at keeping up with my buddies! That’s really where I’ve struggled lately, and that’s mostly why I haven’t been doing many buddy reads for a while now. But I’m hoping with this series readalong, I’ll make sure to keep up and be ready for discussion time.
