WWW Wednesday – 12/02/20

My stomach and head has been killing me all day and I just need some relief. How can I function and yet *not function* at the same time? Did someone invent a way to have a blog post write itself by reading my thoughts and formatting it correctly without me having to actually make it myself? Can someone get on that please? You’d be a life saver.

Thank you again to Sam @ Taking on a World of Words for hosting this weekly meme. I’m pretty sure you all know the drill by now, but in case you don’t and you want to join, here are the three questions we always answer:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you will read next?

So I’m trying to get back to White Teeth since I’m super behind on all of my Literati book club reads. I’m the absolute worst, but hey I should be able to catch up somehow. Right? Especially since I truly want to make sure I write down all of my thoughts in my special Literati journal… ya feel?

And since I’m also still behind on writing reviews, this can help me recap when I get to actually writing the reviews… whenever that ends up being. You know? Yeah… I’m gonna end up writing it way later in 2021 aren’t I?

Wow, it’s been taking me a while to finish these books, but I finished both of those contemporary romance novels like super quickly! I freaking love those novels so much! I’m curious to see if I end up liking the third novel in The Wedding Date series, especially since I loved The Proposal so much! Ugh, can I just say that I’m a huge Carlos fan? Although Nik is absolutely one of my favorite characters in this series ever! I hope that I get to see her in the future books, even though she will probably be only a passing cameo or something. Kind of like how Alexa was in this novel, and I really liked her in The Wedding Date.

Honestly I have no idea what I want to read next. I’m not even going to include the books that I have on my library shelf right now since I feel like I’m moving through those so freaking slowly! I need to read faster? Or something. Or like… not… go to work so that I can just catch up?

Which one is more acceptable?

Can I just say that I am so proud of myself for reading every single day in November? I also love this spread that was super inspired by Chloe, which is absolutely freaking perfect! It’s just so easy to keep track of, and I love being able to have fun with changing up the color scheme each month. I think this is one of my favorite spreads because even though I sometimes mess up on the lines, it’s one of the easier ones to think about and work on when I want to just work on my journal. It really does just give me some joy to work on my journal and finish the monthly spread before the month starts, you know? Maybe it’s a weird thing to think about, but it definitely helps keep my stress level down a bit.

  1. I love that days read chart! I seriously need to start doing that because I’m one of those people who means to read things but then gets sucked into rewatching shows or something. And I’m sorry you aren’t feeling well, that sucks 😦 “A good eat and a long sleep can cure anything” is the best advice I’ve ever been given if that helps even remotely 🙂 But anyway, I hope you enjoy White Teeth! I remember reading it… last year(? I think?) and really liking it, even though it took me a while to get through because it just felt so sluggish at the beginning.
