Yay for Week 3 of Book Blogger Hop! This is super fun, and I like answering the weekly prompts that were submitted by various members. Click on the banner if you want to see what’s on the schedule for the rest of the year!
The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy from Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

Book Blogger Hop @ Coffee Addicted Writer is a weekly writing prompt for you to answer on your own blog. Prompts are posted well in advance. This week’s question from Billy at @ Coffee Addicted Writer is:
Do you read historical fiction?
Short answer?

I’m slowly getting more into historical fiction, and I’ve found some books that I actually really love! I’m sure you’ll definitely see more of my thoughts on them on my blog. I think so far my favorite ones this year are Next Year in Havana and The Lady Rogue. Feel free to click on the links to read my thoughts on them.

Let me know what you guys think about historical fiction. Which book do you recommend for me? I’d love to find more historical fiction books to enjoy. Lay ’em on me, fam!

Have you read the And I Darken series? It is bad ass!

No I haven’t, but I just requested it from my library so I can borrow it! Although, the more I keep borrowing books the more I’m going to be stuck under a pile of books lol. Thank you for the recommendation!

Have you ever found out the limit of how many books your library takes out at once? I did. You know how I did that? Yeah.

LOLOL I asked and it was 25. I haven’t reached that limit yet. YET.

Oh hell no. That is nothing. St. Louis is much higher and completely arbitrary at 43. Ha!

Ohhh I love historical fiction!! I’ve got quite a few on my TBR that I’m itching to get to! Maybe I’ll share some of those once I do!!

I seriously need to make more of an attempt to read historical fiction, but it’s honestly so seldom that I find them enjoyable! TJR has been the only author to date who has wowed me with a historical fiction novel!

Seriously, historical fiction is a fun genre and I’m so glad I’m getting into it more. If you want to try Next Year in Havana, let me know! I personally loved that one as well.

I’ve been hearing a ton about it lately! I’m gonna look into it on Goodreads and see if it intrigues me!
