This is my first time taking part in State of the ARC, hosted by Avalinah’s Books, so bear with me if it’s pretty basic. I feel like I need to get a better handle on my ARCs, and I definitely need to raise my percentage on Netgalley so that will be my goal for this year.

Probably for the next one, I’ll have a fancy infographic on what my status is with ARCs, but for this month (since I spaced on when to post it), I’ll just make sure that I spell it out for you and me. Thanks for being patient with me!
Completed in June
- Lunar Court – Aileen Erin
- Patron Saints of Nothing – Randy Ribay (Sneak Peek ARC)
- Treading Waves – S. R. Atkinson
- The Black Mage – Daniel Barnes
- A Date with Darcy – Tiffany Schmidt
- Nemecene: The Gadlin Conspiracy – Kaz Lefave
- The Things I Know – Amanda Prowse
- The Escape Manual for Introverts – Katie Vaz
- Sweetie, Vol. 1 – Sean Dillon, Steven Petrivelli
- The Well of Many Worlds – Luke Metcalf
- The Tea Dragon Festival – Katie O’Neill
Oh my gosh! I had no idea that I read that many ARCs in June! I’m honestly shocked but so proud of myself. I’m slowly but surely getting back into the groove of reading and reviewing again. All of my reviews are posted on my blog if you want to check them out.

What’s Next
I have 33 ARCs in my spreadsheet that I’m using to keep track. Majority of them are from Netgalley, and a couple are from others like Edelweiss (I’m scared to use them honestly. I keep getting rejected but I guess that’s okay so I don’t get too many books), Goodreads and Blog Tours. I’m almost done with one from BookSiren, and I’ll be on the next one for the Fantastic Flying Book Club Blog Tour for Lock Every Door.
I’m also going on vacation soon in July, so I’m not sure how many books I’ll get to read while I’m gone, but you never know. I may read way more than I anticipate and get through the rest of my ARCs before I start getting more requests!
So what’s your State of the ARC look like? Don’t forget to add your link to Avalinah’s post!
Wow… Very impressive. I didn’t know about this meme but I will check it out.

Yes you definitely should! Avalinah has been hosting it for maybe two years or so? I just came across it recently though so I had to make sure June was a good one!

Thank you so much! I planned on joining it when I first saw it at the end of May so I was so excited to make my first entry.
Thank you so much 🙂 I hope July is just as great as June.

I’ve really cooled down on requesting ARCs lately because I’ve fallen so far behind on many. There are quite a few that I’ve already missed the pub date for this month because June has been a hellish month, so I’m not requesting more and finishing what I’ve got 🙂 Looks like you did great with the ARC reads this month though!

That sounds like a good idea! There were a few that I requested back in May that I still haven’t heard back from, so I’m hoping that I either get denied for those (solely so I’m not slammed with a bunch more. I hate getting denied but it happens all the time), or they only get approved after I catch up. Thanks so much ❤

I think getting denied so often also played a factor in slowing down on requesting ARCs lol it’s tough being an international reviewer living in a country that’s a rather obscure/unimportant publishing market 😅

I think you do an amazing job with everything despite that part. It’s strange though. They really should give more credit to international markets and international reviewers.

Aww, thanks Leelynn! I do wish it were easier as an international book blogger, but I also get it. I mean, I try anyway 😂 haha

hey hey nice job! it always feels so great to look back and see that you’ve read more books than you thought. Edelweiss isn’t very nice to me either, but of course the silver lining is that all the rejections mean fewer ARCs piling up (unless I drown my sorrows by requesting a bunch from Netgalley … though I try not to 😅).
I hope you have fun on your vacation, and don’t stress too much about getting through ARCs while you’re gone!

Oh my gosh that’s exactly my dilemma! Requesting a bunch through Netgalley since I have a better chance of getting accepted there, and not touching Edelweiss unless it’s already there for downloading (I think that’s what I’m gonna do for Edelweiss for the most part).
Thank you so much ❤ I'm going to try not to stress, and just let the ARCs come as they may (if I can). I'm hoping I can enjoy my vacation too! It's been a while since I've been on one so I don't even know what to do with myself!
