WWW Wednesday – June 5, 2019

20e30-www2bwednesday2b252812529

I am so excited to be taking part in my first ever WWW Wednesday post, hosted by Taking On a World of Words.  Thanks so much for opening this up to new bloggers like me to try out! I’ll definitely be doing this from now on.

So every Wednesday on WWW, we will answer these three questions:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you will read next?

Let’s get to it!

CURRENTLY READING

So according to Goodreads, I’m reading 5 books at once since I apparently don’t like to finish books anymore. However, if I was better at correctly keeping track of what I’m reading, I’m in the middle of two books.

  1. The Weight of a Piano – Chris Cander (55%)
  2. Treading Waves – S. R. Atkinson (1%) – ARC

My goal is to finish The Weight of a Piano within the next two days, and get more traction in Treading Waves since it’s an ARC and has no reviews on Goodreads yet, so I can add it to there and Netgalley. I’m working on bringing back up my percentage in Netgalley so I can get approved for more ARCs. I’ll get back up there!

RECENTLY FINISH READING

This week I also finished two books (I’m sensing a pattern here…) and my reviews are posted on my blog and Goodreads as well! Feel free to check them out and let me know what your thoughts were if you read them as well!

  1. Lunar Court – Aileen Erin (ARC Review)
  2. The Sun is Also a Star – Nicola Yoon

So far I liked both of these books, so I’m on the right track.

NEXT TO READ

Well I’ve been talking about this for a while now, so I definitely have to read the next book by Chanel Cleeton. And since it’s Pride Month, I’ll have to read something with some LGBTQ+ rep because that only makes sense! Plus I need more of that in my life. I’ll need some recommendations on that though.

  1. When We Left Cuba – Chanel Cleeton
  2. The Silent Patient – Alex Michaelides

Until next time,

    1. I really did like it! I know I explained more in my review but I just couldn’t put it down honestly. I was so engrossed in the story and I was really hoping for a happy ending, but while it wasn’t what I was wishing, the ending I felt was still a really good one. It gave me hope that maybe someone you loved at one point could come back into your life and you may love them again. It was just really sweet!

      1. Oooh, I’ll have to look for your review! I totally get what you mean about being engrossed in the story but then feeling like the ending kind of comes up short. I HATE when that happens! It can ruin the whole reading experience sometimes.
