Top Ten Tuesday | April Showers

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

Hey y’all. I swear I can move one step forward and then have to take three steps back. I’m just stressed out, y’all. I’m hoping that by the time this is all over, I will be okay. At least by the time this month happens, I have no choice but to figure things out.

I decided to make the April Showers prompt into books that have made me cry because I feel like crying right now. And while not all of these had me crying for a sad reason, I still want to share the books that made me shed some much needed tears. I have been making my posts short and to the point lately – with the exception of my reviews – and I think that I need to eventually set aside some time to not be stressed and try to get all of my feelings out. I don’t know when that will happen though, but we will see.

Alright! On to my list.

  1. Lunar Love – Lauren Kung Jessen
  2. Warrior Girl Unearthed – Angeline Boulley
  3. A Woman is No Man – Etaf Rum
  4. Black Girl, Call Home – Jasmine Mans
  5. Sugar and Spite – Gail D. Villanueva
  6. The Poppy War – R. F. Kuang
  7. Dating Makes Perfect – Pintip Dunn
  8. Bloodmarked – Tracy Deonn
  9. The Shadowglass – Rin Chupeco
  10. In the Weeds – B.K. Borison

Now the real test is to see which ones made me cry for good or nefarious reasons lol.
