Thank you again to Sam @ Taking on a World of Words for hosting this weekly meme. I’m pretty sure you all know the drill by now, but in case you don’t and you want to join, here are the three questions we always answer:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you will read next?

- A Torch Against the Night – Sabaa Tahir
- A Venom Dark and Sweet – Judy I. Lin
- Divine Rivals – Rebecca Ross
- Seaside Sorcery – Rosalie Hunter
I have told Mark that we need to finish A Torch before I drop him off to leave me, so we better finish it by then or I’m gonna be irritated! I’ve also declared that since we are reading this series together, I will not listen to the other two books until we are reunited. I hope that we can reunite sooner rather than later, and hopefully we will be able to finish this book series together since he seems to be into it. You have no idea how excited I am because this dude does not read. So the fact that he is listening to a high fantasy series with me is freaking amazing. So happy that we are able to do this while we are running errands and just spending time together before he has to leave.

- The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot – Marianne Cronin
- One Dark Window – Rachel Gillig
- Ghost Roast – Shawnee Gibbs
A few of these books I was reading for a challenge in literALLy BOOKiSh but they were all pretty decent. I think the one that I was most surprised about was One Dark Window. I had been seeing that cover around for a bit and I just hadn’t had a chance to read it until recently, and I’m glad I did! I’m excited to read the second book – it’s a duology – since I already have it borrowed and I’m going to try to read that one after Divine Rivals. Out of these three, I would say Ghost Roast was my favorite. It was a graphic novel, and it makes me wish that they would make more books in this world.

- Fake Dates and Mooncakes – Sher Lee
- Black Girls Must Have it All – Jayne Allen
- No Filter and Other Lies – Crystal Maldonado
- Love, Decoded – Jennifer Yen
- Pachinko – Min Jin Lee
- She Who Became the Sun – Shelley Parker-Chan
Keeping these on my list!

I loved The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot. Cried a lot with that one and some of the dialogues are hilarious.

It was definitely a tearjerker! I honestly wouldn’t have picked it up – well it wouldn’t have come across my radar if it wasn’t for that facebook group I mentioned – but it was a nice surprise. Lenni was funny to me, and I felt for her so much. Margot too but I think I related more to Lenni because she was younger.

I loved Lenni’s relationship with Father Arthur, so sweet and funny.
