Sunday Post | Getting Back Into the Groove of Blogging Daily

Sorry for the earlier technical difficulties. I was supposed to have written the post after work yesterday but ended up passing out and never got around to it. Then I passed out AGAIN today when I was supposed to write my blog posts, so now I’m behind. It’s okay though, because Monday posts are somewhat easier to write than this one.

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news about the past week, reading recaps, new hauls, and more.

I have not been reading any ARCs lately, and of course this is where I’m falling behind because I have so many that I need to read. I talked about it somewhere else where I have debated deleting my Netgalley and Edelweiss but I can’t get over the progress I made with it over the years. So maybe in a couple months or something, I’ll try to start dedicating my reading time to a couple ARCs a month until I can dedicate a whole year to catching up.

But until then, I’ll get to them when I get to them.

It’s been a month since I started working at the library and… let’s just say that I come home with at least one book almost every single work day. It’s… wow it’s been great and terrible at the same time and I love it. I don’t think I’ll be sharing what I got this past month because that would be WAY TOO MANY BOOKS. But maybe next week I would share what I did receive throughout the week… if I can’t help myself from borrowing more books.

We will see!

Well, of course my biggest personal update is the fact that I got my dream job at the library! I am officially a Library Services Coordinator in the Community Learning department! I’m going to be working with an amazing group of people to come up with some amazing programs for our library. I actually did get some of my programs approved for the next triad, and I’m so freaking excited to start planning and implementing them! I’m going to keep you all posted with my progress.

I know this isn’t much on this blog post right now and I think it’s because I didn’t set this up the day before, so I’ll have to make sure that I actually do this better next week.

I feel like I haven’t been listening to much music lately because I’ve been listening to books again, but I do have a playlist that I find myself listening to at work sometimes when I need to focus a bit. I forgot where I found it but I adore the fact that it has Avatar Lo-Fi in it?! Like, I didn’t know that was a thing, and I’m happy for it. So here it is. In case the widget isn’t working, the title of the playlist is called Medieval Lofi Beats

I was so happy to find the OG Charmed on Peacock, so I’ve been rewatching it. I forgot how much I love Phoebe! I mean I love Piper too and honestly I’m still bummed that Prue was killed off but I get it. Like the backstory about it off the set. I don’t think I ever really liked Paige honestly… but I’m not sure. The more I watch it the more I feel like she’s a hypocrite.

But it’s okay. They all have their moments that make them either super annoying or super amazing. I still appreciate them for who they are as people and I think they had a really good storyline of how their sisterhood grew.

I can’t wait to finally watch the reboot of Charmed because I did start it and I enjoyed it. I just needed to get the OG Charmed out of my mind for a bit because of the nostalgia.

Okay now that this is finally done, I want to appreciate y’all for bearing with me as I finally finish up this post. It is way later than usual but it’s finally out now. How was your week? I can’t wait to hear from you.

  1. That’s awesome that you have a job at the library! I’m sure you do find a lot to bring home, haha. I know when I go to the library and get quite a lot. I have been behind with arcs due to moving last year and wish I have made more progress but its hard! You got this though!

    1. Hi Joanna! Oh gosh, and then I ended up finding two more books to take home this morning… my shift isn’t even over yet! I think I was rewarding myself for taking over Family Storytime this morning at the last minute and doing a somewhat good job. I’m overly critical of myself so while others may think I did great, I feel like I stumbled a bit. But it was my first time leading it and I was on my own so I’m okay with not being perfect the first time around.

Oh gosh congratulations on the move! I can totally see why you would be behind but that’s a valid reason and I know you will get back on track 🙂

      1. Haha, I can imagine you go home with more than what you thought. It’s great that you did Family Storytime. I’m sure that you did well but I can understand being critical. It happens to the best of us. At least you got one under your belt now!
