#BEspring2020 Series: Flowers Book Tag

I may repeat some gifs here and there because I don’t always remember what I’ve already used or not but it doesn’t matter because all of them have been pretty beautiful regardless! It’s Thursday, I’m feeling slightly better than yesterday, which is great because it’s better than I was feeling earlier this week. Slowly but surely getting back to normal, although I’m so wishing that I could just be at 100% now. I can’t rush it though because I’ll end up making myself sick again. I went outside today with the dogs to sit and listen to an audiobook and it was so nice and warm. I think they had a lot of fun with me too. Now I guess I should eat some food!

Thank you to Jayati @ Its Just a Coffee Addicted Bibliophile for hosting today’s prompt! Yay for another tag! I love doing tags, don’t you? And I get to do some tags even though I’ve been putting off the ones that are in my drafts. Oops!

Choose any 5 flowers to be your guiding prompt, and according to that, take a picture of three books placed in a stack whose covers are the colour of the flowers, preferably the books being – one book that you loved, one book that you didn’t and one that you want to read soon.

Ahhh this one is going to be interesting! Especially since I feel like I don’t have a lot of books that are the same colors. I’ll do my best!

Cherry Blossom (Pink)

So I have noticed that there aren’t really books that I have that I don’t like, so I kind of had to just choose a third book of whether I liked it or wanted to read it. That’s what I did for most of these but I’ll mention it if there’s something else or whatever. I don’t even know if I’m making any sense at all!

I absolutely adored Reign of the Fallen by Sarah Glenn Marsh! I still need to read the sequel – yeah, yeah I know I know! – and I totally forgot that this was a pretty pink cover! I did enjoy The Belles by Dhonielle Clayton and the sequel as well. Hey see, I actually finished a duology! I’m still dying to read This Time Will be Different by Misa Sugiura so I had to show some love to it here. Yay for a never ending possibility pile!

Tiger Lily (Orange)

The only book in this stack that I read was When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon and I freaking loved it. I don’t know why I didn’t end up reading the rest of the series yet but this one really just touched my heart. I definitely want to read Ignite the Stars by Maura Milan and Eon by Alison Goodman one of these days. When? I have no idea but it will happen eventually.

Rose (Red)

I freaking loved both Talon by Julie Kagawa and Red Rising by Pierce Brown! I’m not sure if you can see it, but I’m still semi reading Secondborn by Amy Bartol from a friend’s recommendation, so I kept my bookmark in there so I know where I left off. I didn’t get too far in it though, so I don’t think it would hurt if I started over again. We will see!

Yoko Ono Mini Button Pom (Green)

Again, I’ve only read one of these books: Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco. It’s been a while since I read it but I think it was pretty entertaining. I heard that the rest of the series got really good though, so I may have to do that. I definitely still want to read Rich People Problems by Kevin Kwan (and the second book since I only read the first one in this trilogy), and Eliza and her Monsters by Francesca Zappia.

Sunflower (Yellow)

I’ve only read The Help by Kathryn Stockett. It was okay. Don’t know if I would ever read it again, but I think I kept this one because my former boss ended up giving this to me before I moved to Virginia. So it has a special place in my heart because of who gave it to me. I’m curious to read The Red Queen by Philippa Gregory and Climbing the Stairs by Padma Venkatraman. Isn’t it interesting that all of these are historical fiction novels though? Did not notice that before.

And there we go. That was fun, but difficult because I notice that a lot of my books are black or dark and I just… yeah didn’t want to see super dark colors all over the place! Maybe I need to start getting more colorful books?! Who knows! Also, I’m not tagging anyone in this but please feel free to try this out if you want to. It was pretty fun, and it gets you out of the house and into the sun if you’re able to. I highly recommend it.

  1. Thanks for doing the tag! I absolutely loved When Dimple Met Rishi as well. I really liked the Crazy rich Asians trilogy as well and I hope you get to reading the whole of it soon! I really want to read the Belles and I’m so glad to hear you liked it! ❤
