Thank you again to Sam @ Taking on a World of Words for hosting this weekly meme. I’m pretty sure you all know the drill by now, but in case you don’t and you want to join, here are the three questions we always answer:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you will read next?

- Red Thread of Fate – Lyn Liao Butler
- Deathless Divide – Justina Ireland
I am like SOOOOO DAMN close to finishing Red Thread of Fate and I’m so happy about it. I think it’s gotten a lot better now that the twists are out of the way. Well, I mean I’m almost done with it and I don’t know if there are going to be more twists but I’m glad that I’m seeing a bit more of the story. I have to say that this story is hitting at the heartstrings for me surprisingly enough.

I’m also really enjoying Deathless Divide and I can’t believe that it’s been years since I read the first one! It actually made me want to reread it to get a refresher but honestly it’s been pretty perfect just jumping in. Also HELLO?! That freaking twist in the middle?! My goodness! I can’t even say it because it freaked me out. I was listening to it one night when it got to that part and then I was like waiiiiitttt… I’m only halfway through the book! It scared me so much.

- Starling House – Alix E. Harrow
- Always Human – Ari North
I got my first graphic novel done this past week and I’m so glad it was a reread! Loved it so very, very much. I still need to figure out the sequel at some point because I know I won’t have time to try to get to it again before I have to leave. I also have to start returning my books but that’s a whole different conversation. I’m already so sad about it, and I’m going to miss my library system so much. I’m going to miss it as a whole and all of my amazing coworkers. Okay I’m gonna stop before I start crying.

- Fake Dates and Mooncakes – Sher Lee
- Witch of Wild Things – Raquel Vasquez Gilliland
I like how I took three whole books with me to the hotel tonight like I’m actually going to get through them all. No way buddy.

I took off one of the other books but I also don’t know when I’ll get to it. The goal is this month though but dang I don’t know if I will be able to with how slow I’ve been reading lately. If I’m able to find any of these on audio, then maybe I can get through all three of them! I’m already slacking on my challenges is what I feel is happening. Sheesh.
But I’m thinking that since I’m almost done writing this post, I can spend the rest of my night either reading or watching Charmed and be up in time for the hotel’s breakfast!
See you next time friends.

Hey…love reading your posts! So, finished The Blindness of the Heart (Julia Franck) and The Paris Daughters (Kristin Harmel). Currently reading Romantic Comedy (Curtis Sittenfeld). Next on my list is The Boys ( Ron and Clint Howard).

Thanks so much Jennifer! Which one of your recently finished reads was your favorite? They both sound like historical fiction novels but I could be off about The Blindness of the Heart. Thanks so much for visiting 🙂
