• All I’ve Wanted All I’ve Needed – A. E. Valdez
• Her Royal Spyness – Rhys Bowen
• Killing in C Sharp – Alexia Gordon

I’m still trying to get through Her Royal Spyness. It’s funny though, and I do like it. I just noticed that I only end up reading it when I’m about to fall asleep so I don’t get to read as much as I want to. Lately I’ve been so tired that when I end up laying down, I feel my eyes trying to shut even though I’m engaged in the book. It’s so annoying!

I also started Killing in C Sharp so I could see if I can make more progress on this cozy mystery series. I still don’t like the current narrator that they have for this book – I truly liked the initial narrator – but I can’t seem to focus on the physical copy either. So I’ll just deal with the narrator since I can still get through the story this way.

I had a feeling that I wouldn’t finish as many books this past week, and that’s okay. I was more concerned with the fact that my husband was coming home, and even though we both had work to do since he’s been back, I was too busy hanging out at home and trying to hang out with him. I’m glad he’s back and that he didn’t get extended like some of the other commands out there – which sucks honestly, I wish they would come home – but we are also preparing for him to leave again. He’s always here just to leave again, but that’s the life isn’t it.

• I Feed Her to the Beast and the Beast is Me – Jamison Shea

I have to pick this one. Why? Because one of my coworkers who read it had such a colorful and animated verbal review for me that I just knew it was going to be amazing. I need to move it up my list for sure, somehow try to read multiple physical books at once so I can get through it. It’s a horror novel though, and I don’t normally read horror, but I have read some throughout my reading time so I’ll have to try this. I also don’t know what kind of horror it is, so we will also see. I’ll just make sure not to read it at night just in case.

And that’s all we have for today. I can’t believe I missed a whole week of posting, but it’s okay. I’m on new anti-depressant medication and it’s really messing me up. I have been feeling so dizzy and tired lately that I just can’t seem to focus on anything. It’s even hard to get through the day at work without wanting to sleep because of how my head is all foggy. I hope that my body gets used to the medicine soon. I have to stay on these for a least a month before we can figure out if it’s working or not. I know I missed a couple of days because I just couldn’t wake up, so I have to make sure I stay consistent with it.

I hope you’re all doing well. I hope you have a gentle holiday season, and I can’t believe we are almost at 2024. Can you believe it? I feel like it’s coming up way too quickly.
