WWW Wednesday | 6 December 2023

Thank you again to Sam @ Taking on a World of Words for hosting this weekly meme. I’m pretty sure you all know the drill by now, but in case you don’t and you want to join, here are the three questions we always answer:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you will read next?

So just like last time, any titles in italics are ones that I’m not actively reading, but are still on my currently reading list. But! I recently found out that the audiobook will be coming out for it soon, so that’s going to help me so much! I haven’t touched my Kindle in forever, and I truly think it’s because it gives me minor headaches when I read it. If I’m honest, I read the best when I’m listening to audiobooks, with physical copies as a close second. If I could request more ALCs, I would totally get back on track with my ARCs for sure. Actually, now that I think about it, I’ll have to see if the books on my Netgalley account that are already published have audiobook versions, then I’ll be able to get through them and read them that way. I want to get my ratio back up there. I refuse to start over lol.

I wasn’t going to list every single book I finished since the last time I posted, because that would have been way too much. So here’s the last two books that I finished recently. I really, really, really would love to share my thoughts on Tilly in Technicolor, but since it’s an SMP/Wednesday book, I won’t be able to do so until the boycott is done.

I also have been wanting to finish the Sweet Black Waves series for a while now, and I could never find the third book. From what I found out when I tried to request one of my libraries to purchase a copy, it is out of print. So I have to find a copy of it from another library system. What I did though, was buy it on Audible since that was the one place I could find it. So I’ll be listening to the series and hopefully finishing it either this year or next.

It’s such an interesting retelling of Tristian and Isolde that I wish it got more hype.

Actually, that’s what I need your help on! I’ve been wanting to get a bit more romance in and there’s at least five in my stash that I have that I wanted to pick from. Which one would you pick? Have you read any of them? Here’s the list again in case my Instagram post isn’t showing:

So far, I have two votes for Bet on It, and one for Ben and Beatriz. Both of those I have been wanting to read for a while now, so I could do one then the other. But I’m curious to know what everyone else thinks!

So let me know what you think! What is your WWW Wednesday today? Feel free to link your posts and I’ll come visit your page. See you next time.
