I can’t believe Halloween has come and gone and we are still not over this pandemic. Honestly though, I figured that we wouldn’t be since I figured that we – at least the United States anyway – wouldn’t pay attention to the social distancing rules or whatever and what do you know? That’s how it is.

But anyway! Halloween is over and it’s Thanksgiving now so let’s see how November goes for us, okay?
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news about the past week, reading recaps, new hauls, and more.

So I ended up getting a Kindle because it was on sale. Although I saw that it didn’t come with a charger? Well it came with the USB cord but not the outlet part so I bought that, which is fine with me. It just came in yesterday and I’ve been charging it up so that I can get through a lot of the ARCs that I have going on. There is one that I really want to get through this weekend so I have to start getting through that right away. I’m so excited to finally have a working Kindle again though! Yay for getting back to reading ARCs again.

So I got some books…. yes, I totally got some books recently. I really shouldn’t even be talking about it since I am supposed to be on some sort of book buying ban? But that never ever goes well for me, so it happens.
I’m also trying something new with this graphic thing, but I am kind of liking it, actually! We’ll see if I keep it up or not. I may though, since I do like how it’s looking like, and it may be something that I could add to my Instagram story since I rarely add anything on there. I don’t have much of a presence on there even though I really want to do more on there. So we’ll see. It’s fun though! Thank goodness for Canva.

So many non-fiction novels! For someone that doesn’t usually read non-fiction novels, I’m honestly super surprised. Two of them are for the Literati book clubs that I’m in, and the other three are for the other book clubs that I’m in… so I guess book clubs are all into non-fiction lately. But… oh well. We’ll see how it goes!

I’m so glad that our office finally decided to close for Election Day. I already voted early for the first time ever, but honestly I really needed to have this day off or something. I really need some rest and … well maybe more than just a day of rest. I still feel really exhausted and I already removed some things from my schedule that wasn’t working with me, but that still hasn’t alleviated the stress I guess.
I’ve also been having these really crazy dreams of worldwide destruction that would make really crazy books or movies but something that I really don’t want to dream about constantly. I would say that it’s my anxiety going haywire and not having everything settled or whatever, but geez can my brain just calm the heck down?

On another happy note, I decided to finally use the mermaid tail blanket that my mom bought me sometime ago and made a makeshift costume out of it. I wore it to work and asked one of my coworkers to take a picture of me. I had fun with it, especially because I would consider myself the self-proclaimed mermaid queen at work.

I feel like I haven’t really been listening to anything lately but maybe I have. Well, I don’t know. Kind of like last week, I couldn’t really concentrate on much, even music. But there is a song that I’ve been listening to almost on repeat because of the documentary that I watched on Netflix. It’s been a while and even though I haven’t watched it in a while, I still think about this song a lot.
Took away my insecurities
Your arms became my security
Ooh, my melody became harmony
With you, and only you

Yeah…. I haven’t watched anything else but Elementary all week.

I’m on Season 4 now. I think the farthest I’ve ever gotten was Season 5 because I just can’t… have it end… and that’s as far as I want to get.
And I’m getting close to that part again… Ahhh!
But as long as Hulu keeps Elementary on here, I’ll keep watching it so… you know what to do, Hulu. Keep my show on here.

I love the chemistry between Sherlock and Joan. Honestly this is one of my favorite shows ever, and I just love their partnership and friendship so much. I’m so glad that Sherlock has been able to develop a meaningful relationship with someone when so many people – including himself – thought that he wouldn’t be able to do so. And he did, with multiple people. I love that so much and just seeing the growth throughout the seasons that I have watched really warms my heart.

Oh, I’m really glad you have a Kindle again!

And can’t believe that these are festive times and we’re still having the virus around 😫 And hardly anyone’s wearing proper masks anymore, let alone follow social distancing🙄💕
