Top Ten Tuesday: Books on My Fall TBR

Top Ten Tuesday: Books on My Fall TBR

Oh so… I’m not good at TBRs. You guys know this because I constantly say it and it’s been foretold that I will never get a TBR and follow it. I know, it’s my prophecy and all that jazz.

So let’s see what I come up with, yeah?

Also I’m so sorry that this is late.

I mean, I’ve had it from my library long enough that I should finally get to it, yeah?

Same with this one, honestly.

I gotta read this one before I buddy read the second one, am I right?

Which means I also gotta read the second one.

I think the sheer heft in this book is making me not want to pick it up, but I freaking borrowed it from the library and already renewed it once so I freaking need to read this! Stop slacking, Leelynn!

Witch doctor vibes are perfect for fall, right?

This is the November book for the library’s book club, so hopefully I end up reading it and liking it, you know?

I mean I can try to get through another series, you know? At least I read the first one.

I may just need to buy this one honestly because I don’t want to keep holding it from my library and just staring at it. Plus, I want this.

Same with this one honestly because I want it.

So don’t hold me to read any of these because it’s going to set too high of an expectation for me. I love you.

  1. I just ordered Undead Girl Gang from Book Outlet and would looveeee to do a buddy read with you on it if you’re interested!? Also, I listened to the audio of The Vanishing Stair immediately after listening to Truly Devious and I enjoyed it so much better than the first book! I listened to the full audio in like one day I think? It was great!

      1. Yayyy, I’m so excited! I think it’s arriving in the mail today so really, I’m down to start whenever you are!! And I think you’ll like The Vanishing Stair! It works in more of the history into the story and was just overall more enjoyable than the first book in my opinion!

  2. If you haven’t read her post yet, Dini calls it a “possibility pile,” and I am 100% accepting this terminology. xD It sounds so much nicer than a TBR.

More dragon books! I haven’t read that series yet, so I’ll look forward to seeing your thoughts on it. 😉 You’ll be my test run lol. I really need to read The City of Brass, too. I mean, I’ve owned it foreverrrr. So glad for Kindle books because I can’t see how long it is. I can pretend. xD

    Here’s my TTT post.

    1. I saw your comment come up and I immediately went to both yours and Dini’s page so I could see that! It was freaking perfect ❤ I told her we were going to steal that and credit her so she should know haha.

At this rate, I feel like you're going to get to it before I do, but we will see. I don't know if there are actual dragons in that book though…. So we will see?

    1. See that is so me! I need to stop borrowing books until I can finish the ones that I have! But then sometimes the wait can be so long that I try to put in multiple requests for different books so I can at least have something! Then they all come in at the same time and I’m stuck haha. I would say that the one I’m most looking forward to is Kingdom of Souls!

      1. I’m glad I’m not the only one who struggles with this 😂😂 I was trying to be nice a little while ago and refrained from picking up Heartstopper as I already had quite a few books out and then ended up waiting MONTHS for it. There’s no happy-medium-type solution 😂 Hope you enjoy Kingdom of Souls! Jen

  3. I’m not good with TBRs either but I thought if I put just some selected few onto this autumn pile then the chances are bigger that I read at least one of them. 😀
I’ve heard so many good things about City of Brass and I wanna read it at some point but not right now. My TBR is already trying to smother me. 🙂

  4. I call TBRs my ‘possibility pile’ coz they’re just possibilities… Nothing set in stone… Coz I just cant’ do TBRs either 😂 I’ve had Gentleman in Moscow on my shelf for aaages. I really need to get on that one! Lol the only one I’ve read on here is Emergency Contact (super LOVE!) but pretty much 90% of these are on my extended tbr HA. Awesome list, Leelynn! 😍

    1. I loved that so much! Sammie told me what you called it and we are so stealing that btw ❤ Crediting you of course! That was the best thing I've ever seen it called! Well, it's actually my October read for book club, so if you want to buddy read that to get it off your pile, lmk ❤

  5. Ahaha, I feel the same about TBRs. I make them, I have all the intentions to follow them… but never actually do. 😀
I’m currently reading «Kingdom of Souls», it’s interesting but tbh could be better.. So I hope you’ll love it more than I do.

      1. You won’t regret it if you do. I reviewed if you want to check it out. Oof that was a long time ago. If you do go read it may be ugly (in terms of structure). But I remember finishing that book and writing the review. I mean it was just incredible.

  6. Great list! The Poppy War, Undead Girl Gang and We Set the Dark On Fire are all books I still need to read, too. I read The City of Brass this summer – it’s pretty chunky, but I found that I got through it fairly quickly once the plot got going! 😊

  7. I haven’t heard of any of these books. But based on the covers alone, some of them look quite interesting. Good luck getting through this TBR. I am also terrible at sticking with TBRs.
