So I’m writing this early because 1) I know my head still hurts but I’d rather have this come out on time than super late and 2) I’m probably either on my way to Fredericksburg to give my presentation, or on my way back, or in the middle of it, and I can’t be on here while I’m trying to teach some people how to use Google Docs.
So here I am. Sorta.
Thanks again Mandy @ Devouring Books for hosting this! I’ll have to do better and start tagging people to do this so we can get more of a following, yeah?
I know I did something like this before, so I’m sorry if my books are either the same or similar.
I haven’t read this one yet, but it’s definitely on my TBR. I’ve heard some great things about this.
I’m kind of cheating with this one because I only watched the movie, but hey. I remember it deals with space so here you go.
Big duh, right?
I guess this one is another big duh.
I’m pretty sure I just bought this because Princess Leia – well she’s a General now, and I love that – was always one of my favorite characters and to see a book about her is freaking awesome!
Rest In Peace forever, Carrie Fisher. 😞
I loved Carrie Fisher so much!! Such a sad loss :(((

When I found out that she passed away, I was so heartbroken. And then when her mom passed away like the day after, it just was terrible. I’m so glad that we got to experience what she could give to us though.

Red Rising is the best space book, honestly

It’s really good! I think I liked Golden Son even better! I’ll have to see what I think about Morning Star.

Both Illuminae and Red Rising are on my list because I haven’t yet read either of them!! I hear amazing things about Sanctuary. I should really read more space books.

OMG I hope that you end up loving both Illuminae and Red Rising! They were both so good, and even though I read Red Rising back in like 2015 or something, I still fell in love with that story enough to continue with the series.
Honestly, so do I! It gives me a chance to explore some worlds outside of Earth lol

Yes to Carrie Fisher!
I’ll have to read it since I only watched the movie! I’m curious to know if they would end up making a sequel to the movie since I know that there’s so much more to the story.

There is. It’s a whole series. I doubt they’ll continue making movies of it, but I love the rest of the series, though Ender’s Game will always be my favorite.

Ugh, I still really need to read Red Rising. I’m so scared I won’t enjoy it. It’s so hyped! Lol
Also, YES ILLUMINAE! Always 😍

Don’t read it after Godsgrave! Put a fluffy book in the middle or something. You’re gonna be swept away by the violence and conspiracy and all that lol.

Hahaha considering I’ve got this chunk of a Priory to get through, I honestly don’t know if I’ll be starting any other books anytime soon? Of course it all depends on how into it I get. Hopefully really into it soon so I can speed through!

I’m currently listening to Carrie Fisher narrate her book Shockaholic. It has more to do with mental illness than space, but your Princess Leia references made me think of this first. I do love space settings for novels, though, and intend to read Red Rising and Illuminae eventually.

Oh I haven’t read that one yet, but maybe I’ll have to listen to it so I can hear Carrie Fisher’s voice again. I hope you end up liking Red Rising and Illuminae!

I really recommend the audiobooks for these. Having Carrie talk to me during my commute makes life better.
