Book Blogger Hop 001

So glad I found this weekly prompt to include with my blog! As if I don’t have enough to post about, right? Click on the banner above to check out the prompts for the year, and be sure to join their group on Facebook!

Book Blogger Hop @ Coffee Addicted Writer is a weekly writing prompt for you to answer on your own blog. Prompts are posted well in advance. This week’s question is:

You know… I honestly don’t think so? I’ve recently looked through my shelf again, and I don’t remember seeing any duplicates. If my mom had kept the Harry Potter series, then I would have two copies of that entire series.

Sometimes I have the physical copy and the audiobook version (like with Before I Disappear). Does that count?

What about you? Are you also on doing this prompt? I can’t wait to check out all the other answers this week. I may post these on Sundays (starting next prompt) so that I can spread it out a little bit. Fridays already has a lot of posts so I should give some breaks in between.

  1. I have two physical copies of both Emma and Pride and Prejudice, but only because I bought a giant book that has all Austen’s work in one binding. The print is super small. But I think that’s it. If it goes across platforms, I have three of almost everything, physical, ebook and audible.

  2. Hi LeeLynn and welcome to the BBH.
I don’t own more than one copy of any book per se but I do own different formats of the same book. For example, I’ve got the paperback versions of Holly Bell’s Amanda Cadabra Mysteries as well as the Kindle versions. I own the Kindle version of Teresa Gabelman’s The Protectors series and also the Audible versions so that I can access my favourite reads wherever I am.

Having said that, I’m sure the collector in me would also want a favourite book in multiple paperbacks if they changed the cover design. 😉

I hope you have a lovely weekend. Here’s my BBH Post

    1. Hi Flora! Thanks so much for the warm welcome 🙂

Thank you also for linking me to your post! I’m going to take a look at it now. I’m glad I found this weekly meme, and I like that it’s a single prompt to answer. Sometimes it’s hard to write a bunch when you can’t think of what to say.

I also have some different formats of the same book as well. I like having access to the Audible versions when I need to listen to something at work 🙂

Oh I totally agree! Especially if it’s a nice cover design change, I’d be down with it.

  3. Ooh, I like this one! So many good writing/reading memes out there and I seem to be discovering a lot of them through you 😂 This is a great prompt! Before becoming more active in the book community I didn’t have more than one copy of a book but now… 😅

    1. Oh gosh you’re amazing Dini ❤ That's how the blogging world works right? By hopping and seeing some fun memes from others and then incorporating them on your own page. Who knows? I may just have content galore that I'll have to calm down one day! I just can't forget to keep reviewing 🙂

LOL I totally understand you 🙂 The book community has opened many doors and unleashed many monsters like having more than one copy of a book. Plus, sometimes I'll end up getting more than one if I know someone wants to borrow a book from me but I don't want it to get lost or never returned.

  4. I counted multiple formats of the same books in my response, so I think it counts. 🙂 I have a few in a physical format and on audio as well. Like the Harry Potter books.

I hope you have a great week!

  5. I have duplicates of a handful of books, but most of them aren’t on purpose. I’ve purchased books at second hand stores without realizing I already had a copy several times 😅 I have a couple that I’ve purposefully bought two copies of, though, and that’s usually because I love them. I’ll annotate one and leave the other pristine and pretty for my shelves!
