This was my first Neil Gaiman book, and while it wasn’t a work of fiction in the traditional sense, I could hear his voice and appreciate him taking so much time and research to write this book. I think this is one of the few times that I went through a book of short stories without feeling like I was getting inundated with it.

I feel bad that this review is going to be super short, because all I can really say is that I enjoyed this book. I loved learning more about Odin, Thor, Loki and all the others in a way that I never really learned about them before. I also was obsessed with Gaiman’s narration. I’m so glad he was the one to narrate it instead of having someone else. It was amazing.

I would come back to this and read each story on separate days when I wanted to get a Norse mythology fix. I think this book is perfect for that.
